Christmas Open House

The Duck Creek Historical Society participated with the Christmas in Smyrna event held on 

December 12, 2021, sponsored by the Smyrna Police Department and the DCHS. 

We held an Open House event including refreshments, vendors, and a performance by the 

First State Symphonic Band Holiday Ensemble.  We had books on Smyrna and other local subjects as well as maps, postcards, and a selection of old major headlining newspapers. 

It was great to see visitors coming in, asking questions, enjoying the holiday decor and vendors. We'd like to thank Bonnie Massey from Snappin' Snap jewelry and Lynn Ortiz from the Duck 

Creek Soap Skin Products for joining us this year. 

We enjoyed a roaring fire in the plank house that was decorated in period Christmas.
